Sue Houchens
Sue grew up in the Midwest. The sandy shores of Lake Michigan hold fond memories.
Sue painted and took classes at the Paint Creek Art Association in Rochester, Michigan. After moving to Jericho, VT, she began taking classes with Kathleen Berry-Bergeron. Finding this group of artists has added to Sue’s joy of being in Vermont.
This group of paintings reflects her love of her Vermont surroundings. Floral work is Sue’s favorite. The intricate patterns and shadows fascinate her. Ink is added to emphasize the sculptural elements in the painting.
This fall Sue will bring her background in teaching, encouraging, and management to the EAL as President.
