October: Alyson Chase will demonstrate how to add a splash of color to any room with the use of floorcloths. These were popular as far back as the 1400’s in France and made popular by American colonists. Alyson will demonstrate how to make these works of art. http://alysonchasestudio.com/
November: Hunter Eddy, a native Vermonter, began his studies at the Art Institute of Boston winning the Excellence in Illustration Award in 1990. Hunter is currently a director at the Florence Academy of Art in Italy. His beautiful and lush style with oils isrooted in the classical-Realist tradition of the Renaissance. http://huntereddy.com/
December: Annual Christmas Holiday Event: Come and have fun with all the EAL members. Bring a pot-luck item and a small gift to exchange. This is a not-to-miss event!
January 2: In-House Small-group Critique: Bring one or two of your works-in-progress or completed works for the friendly help of your fellow artists. After the critique, we will be able to view the “gallery” of the works of all the members.
February 6: Carol Boucher will widen your horizonswith oil pastel in this action-packed, intensive presentation. We will learn how to prepare optimal surfaces and Carol will demonstrate methods of blending with pastels keeping vibrant colors. March 6: Who doesn’t recognize the works of Lisa Beach, an award-winning Stowe artist? April 3: How lucky we are to welcome Katharine Montstream, a renowned watercolor/oil painting artist from the Burlington area. She is known for her fluid, colorful watercolors (many of them featuring the Burlington waterfront area) and beautiful interpretations of the world with oils. May 1: Theresa Davis is the founder of the Davis Studio which specializes in creative classes for artists of all ages. Theresa Davis, a master of mixed media, will wow us with a demonstration of the unexpected. http://davisstudiovt.com/
June: Annual Plein Air Event & Brown Bag Picnic: In 2013, our Plein Air Event was at the top of Mt. Philo on Charlotte. We enjoyed our own lodge, complete with a fireplace. The landscape, which posed for us, was so beautiful that our paintbrushes were flying. We are looking forward to 2014!
